WordPress for Small Business

A WordPress site that actually works for a small business.

No Elementor spaghetti. No page-builder bloat. No ten-plugin Franken-theme. Just a clean, fast WordPress site that loads quickly, ranks in your town, and still runs a year from now.

Is this you?

Symptoms of a WordPress site you've outgrown.

Most small-business WordPress sites fail the same way. If more than two of these sound familiar, you don't need another plugin — you need a rebuild.

×

Your site was "built in Elementor" and now takes 6+ seconds to load.

×

You're terrified to update plugins because something always breaks.

×

Your Google Business Profile ranks, but the website doesn't.

×

The old developer disappeared. Nobody knows what half the plugins do.

×

You have 28 plugins. You use maybe 6 of them.

×

Editing a simple page takes 10 clicks and you're scared of breaking the layout.

What you get

A WordPress site built like it's 2026 — not 2016.

Modern block editor. Lean stack. Real SEO foundation. Everything below is in scope for the Standard package.

Clean, lightweight theme

Custom block theme or a hand-picked lean base — no Divi, no Avada, no 2MB template downloads.

Block editor (Gutenberg) setup

Editable pages a normal human can update. No page-builder lock-in, no hidden shortcodes.

Honest plugin stack

Under ten plugins, each justified. Security, SEO, caching, forms, backups — nothing "nice to have".

Real SEO foundation

Title/meta structure, schema markup, clean URLs, internal linking, GSC + GA4 wired in.

Local business optimization

LocalBusiness schema, service-area pages, Google Business Profile alignment, NAP consistency.

Core Web Vitals > 90

Optimized images, deferred scripts, page caching, tuned LCP — we hit the green numbers.

Security & backups

Hardened login, automated daily backups off-site, SSL, and proper user-role separation.

Contact flows that work

Spam-resistant forms, proper autoresponders, and leads landing in your inbox — not a plugin.

Real content, not Lorem

Copy guidance for every page so launch day isn't "we'll fill this in later" for six months.

Handover & training

30-min Loom walkthrough, a simple edit guide, and 30 days of support after launch.

Packages

Three scopes. Fixed price. No surprises.

If what you need falls between these, we'll talk before anything starts.

Scope & fixed quote

I draft page structures and copy prompts. You give me the real content. I won't build on Lorem ipsum.

Design & build on staging

Everything happens on a staging site you can review any time. Two rounds of revisions included.

Launch + handover

We go live on your chosen day. You get a Loom walkthrough, an edit guide, and 30 days of minor-fix support.

Fit check

Who this is for — and who it isn't.

✓ This is for you if…

  • You run a small business with 1–40 employees.
  • You want a site you can actually edit yourself.
  • You care about ranking locally, not just "looking nice".
  • You want a clean stack, not a plugin zoo.
  • You're willing to provide real copy and real photos.

× This isn't for you if…

  • You need a large e-commerce store (look at WooCommerce or Shopify).
  • You want Divi, Elementor Pro, or a heavy page-builder stack.
  • You need a membership/LMS/directory platform (different scope).
  • You want the cheapest possible quote (I'm not it).
  • You can't commit any time to providing content or feedback.
FAQ

Questions before we work together.

Do you use Elementor or Divi?
No. I build with the native block editor (Gutenberg) or a lean custom block theme. Page builders look friendly in the demo but they bloat your site, slow it down, and lock you in. The block editor does everything a small business actually needs.
Can I edit the site myself afterward?
Yes — that's the whole point. Pages are editable as clean blocks. I give you a 30-minute Loom walkthrough and a one-page edit guide. If you can edit a Google Doc, you can edit your site.
Will it rank on Google?
The site is built with a solid SEO foundation — schema, clean URLs, proper titles/metas, fast load times, local business markup. Ranking also depends on your content, citations, and reviews. I'll tell you honestly what's realistic before we start.
Do you provide hosting?
I don't resell hosting, but I'll recommend a reliable host (usually SiteGround, Kinsta, or Cloudways depending on budget) and set it up for you at cost. You own everything, including the domain and hosting account.
What if I already have a WordPress site?
If it's a rebuild rather than a brand-new site, we start with an audit. Sometimes the right move is a rebuild; sometimes a focused cleanup is smarter. I'll tell you which on the first call.
Do you write the copy?
I give you a copy framework (what each page needs to say, in what order, targeting what keyword) and edit what you write. Full copywriting is available as an add-on, but the best small-business copy still comes from the owner.

Let's build a WordPress site that earns its keep.

Free 20-minute call. I'll look at your current site (if any), tell you what's working, and give you a realistic path forward.
