Shopify stores built for small brands that need to actually sell.

Who I work with

Small product brands that outgrew their template — or never had a real store to begin with.

Plant brands, bedding and textile makers, beauty and skincare lines, specialty food, and apparel businesses doing <$2M/year that need a store as credible as their product.

Common problems I fix

Does any of this sound like your Shopify store?

!

Store is slow. Product pages load in 4+ seconds and mobile users bounce.

!

Too many apps. Every new app adds weight, scripts, and bugs.

!

Theme feels generic. You picked a template — now it looks like everyone else's.

!

Low conversion rate. Traffic comes, no one buys.

!

Google traffic is flat. Your collection pages aren't ranking.

!

Migration anxiety. You want to move to Shopify but can't risk losing traffic or data.

Platform fit

When Shopify is the right choice — and when it isn't.

✓ Shopify is great if…

  • You're selling physical products and want a proven platform.
  • You want most technical SEO handled (sitemaps, SSL, crawlability).
  • You need payment, inventory, and shipping baked in.
  • You want a big app ecosystem and theme marketplace.
  • You prioritize speed to launch over custom complexity.

× Shopify may be wrong if…

  • You have deep content/editorial needs — WordPress is usually better.
  • You need full control of code, database, and hosting.
  • Your pricing, catalog, or checkout logic is very unusual.
  • Your main business is services, not physical products.
  • Transaction fees materially hurt your margin.
FAQ

Questions before we work together.

How long does a Shopify project take?
A focused store setup or redesign typically takes 2–4 weeks. Migrations depend on product count and URL complexity but usually land between 3–6 weeks. Speed optimization is often one to two weeks. I quote timeline in writing before we start.
Do I need to be on Shopify Plus?
Almost never, for small businesses. Standard Shopify or Advanced is fine for most stores doing under a few million a year. I'll tell you honestly if Plus is warranted — usually it isn't.
Can you work with my existing theme?
Yes. If your theme is reasonably modern (Dawn, Sense, Refresh, or a recent paid theme), I'll work with it rather than rebuild from scratch. Only if the theme is truly outdated or broken do I recommend a switch.
Will I lose my Google rankings during a migration?
Not if it's done right. Migrations that preserve URLs (or use proper 301 redirects), preserve metadata, and maintain content hierarchy almost always recover within a few weeks. I plan the URL map and redirect strategy before any live change.
Do you charge monthly retainers?
Only if you genuinely need ongoing support — content updates, feature iteration, A/B testing, SEO maintenance. Most projects are one-time scopes. I don't push retainers you don't need.
What's the investment range?
Narrow scopes (speed optimization, SEO audits, small redesigns) typically start around $800–$2,500. Full store builds and redesigns land $3,500–$8,000+ depending on complexity. Migrations similar. I send a fixed quote after the discovery call — no surprises.
