WooCommerce Development

WooCommerce stores that keep the control — without the chaos.

I build, redesign, speed up, and fix checkout flows on WooCommerce stores for small product brands who want the flexibility of WordPress plus a store they own outright. No bloated themes, no plugin graveyards, no runaway costs.

Common problems I fix

Does any of this sound like your WooCommerce store?

!

Checkout abandonment. Carts fill up, then buyers vanish at the payment step.

!

Slow product pages. Variation switching takes forever, images are huge.

!

Plugin hell. 30+ active plugins, random conflicts, fragile updates.

!

No product schema. Your items aren't showing up in Google with price, rating, or stock info.

!

Outdated theme. Stuck on Storefront or an old paid theme that can't be customized cleanly.

!

Manual workflows. Orders, inventory, and shipping all require copy/paste between tools.

Platform fit

When WooCommerce beats Shopify — and when it doesn't.

✓ WooCommerce is great if…

  • You already run on WordPress and want ecommerce integrated.
  • You need full ownership of your store, data, and hosting.
  • Your products or checkout logic are genuinely unusual.
  • You want a content-heavy store (guides, tutorials, editorial).
  • Transaction fees or per-seat costs on SaaS platforms hurt your margin.

× WooCommerce may be wrong if…

  • You want zero platform maintenance — Shopify handles that.
  • You have no appetite for plugin updates or hosting management.
  • Your catalog is huge and transactional without content needs.
  • You need to scale from zero to massive traffic in weeks.
  • You want a native mobile checkout polish Shopify already ships.
FAQ

Questions before we work together.

Can you work with my existing WooCommerce theme?
Usually yes. If you're on a modern theme (Blocksy, Kadence, GeneratePress, Storefront, or a recent paid theme), I'll work with it. Only if the theme is legitimately broken or unmaintained do I suggest switching.
Do you build custom WooCommerce plugins?
When it's the right answer, yes. Often the better path is extending an existing plugin or using ACF + a small custom plugin for your specific logic. I prefer narrow, maintainable code over "reinvent everything".
Can you migrate from Shopify to WooCommerce?
Yes — with products, customers, orders, URLs, and SEO signals preserved. I plan the URL map and redirect strategy before any live change, so rankings survive the move.
What about payment gateways?
Stripe, PayPal, Square, local gateways — I've wired up most of them. I'll recommend what fits your market, margin, and checkout design, not a referral affiliate.
Do you do ongoing maintenance?
Optional — monthly plans cover updates, backups, security monitoring, and minor content edits. Only if you want it.
What's the investment range?
Narrow fixes (speed, checkout, SEO setup) typically $1,200–$3,000. Full builds and redesigns $4,000–$10,000+ depending on catalog size and custom logic. Migrations similar. Fixed quote before we start.
