Common problems I fix

Does any of this sound like your WordPress site?

!

Plugin bloat. 20+ plugins, slow admin, conflicts every other week.

!

Elementor/Divi overhead. Page-builder making the site slow and hard to edit.

!

Site feels dated. Stuck on a theme from 2019 that doesn't fit your brand anymore.

!

Security warnings. Google flagged the site, or a plugin got you hacked.

!

No organic traffic. Site is pretty but nobody finds it on Google.

!

Slow loading. Mobile PageSpeed under 40, Core Web Vitals in the red.

Platform fit

When WordPress is the right choice.

✓ WordPress is great if…

  • You need deep content and blogging capabilities.
  • You want full control of code, hosting, and database.
  • Your site is primarily services, content, or information-led.
  • You want flexible page structures and custom post types.
  • You need best-in-class SEO plugin support.

× WordPress may be wrong if…

  • You're primarily selling physical products online (Shopify is usually better).
  • You want zero maintenance responsibility.
  • You have no interest in keeping plugins up to date.
  • You need a basic 5-page brochure — Squarespace may be simpler.
  • Your team has no appetite for any technical involvement.
FAQ

Questions before we work together.

Do you use page builders like Elementor or Divi?
Usually no. I prefer native Gutenberg blocks with custom ACF fields, or a lightweight theme with clean template files. Page builders are fine when a client already uses one and wants to keep editing — but for new builds, they add weight without much value.
Will my site be easy to edit after you hand it over?
Yes. I build around Gutenberg + ACF patterns your team can update without touching code. I also record a short walkthrough video showing exactly how to change copy, images, and settings.
Can you migrate from another platform to WordPress?
Yes — from Wix, Squarespace, Webflow, or an older WordPress install. I preserve URLs (or set up 301 redirects), keep content, and protect SEO signals through the migration.
What hosting do you recommend?
For small business sites, Kinsta, WP Engine, or Cloudways. I'll give you an honest recommendation based on your traffic, budget, and stack — not a referral affiliate push.
Do you offer ongoing maintenance?
Optional monthly care plans include updates, backups, security monitoring, and minor content edits. Only if you want it — otherwise I hand over a clean site you or your team can maintain.
What's the investment range?
Small business sites typically start $2,500–$6,000 depending on scope. Redesigns, malware cleanup, or speed work are narrower fixed scopes. I quote everything in writing before we start.
